The Spiritans in Paraguay celebrated 50 years of presence and mission in that South-American Country.
The celebration took place on the 22nd of October – World Mission Sunday – in Lima, where the Spiritans settled 50 years ago, among the Guaraní People, and gathered about 500 people. Among the guests were Spiritans from Portugal, Spain, Poland, Canada, USA and Brazil, countries that have sent missionaries to Paraguay. Bishop Pedro Jubinville, Spiritan from Canada and now bishop of this poor part of the country, presided the celebration.
After the Mass, celebrated with joy, followed a meal for all the people and an afternoon full of animation.
