"The missionaries in Guinée must be, above all, men of God and of the Church, and after that, they are members of the Congregation to which God has called them and to which they are attached with all their hearts. Within this Congregation, they are employed for the salvation of the people of Guinée since that is where God wants them to be. In Guinée, as elsewhere, they are members of that body to which God has drawn them" (Libermann to Fr. Boulanger, 13.11.1850. N.D. XII, p. 464-465).

Père Libermann writes about his new Congregation in the "Katholik", a newspaper, founded by Bishops Raess of Starsbourg and Weis of Spire that covers the whole of Germany.
1848 St-Coeur de Marie
Date of a letter from Libermann to Eliman, the King of Dakar, after the death of Mgr. Truffet. In it he says, "I have given my heart en-tirely to the Africans".

Francis Libermann receives the last sacraments from Père Le Vavasseur. He asks whom he wishes to lead the Congregation in his place.
1938 Madagascar
Apostolic Vicariate of Mahajanga is cut off from a territory in the north to form the Prefecture Apostolic of Ambanja (a name given to it in 1938).
Il ne faut pas que les missionnaires de la Guinée soient, avant tout, les hommes de la Guinée; mais il faut qu'ils soient avant tout les hommes de Dieu et de l'Église; ensuite les membres de la Congrégation à laquelle le Dieu les a donnés, à laquelle ils sont attachés de toute l'affection de leur âme et dans cette Congrégation ils sont employés au salut des âmes de la Guinée, tant qu'ils y sont par la volonté de Dieu. Mais en Guinée comme ailleurs, ils sont membres du corps auquel Dieu les a attachés (Libermann au P. Boulanger,13.11.1850, ND XII, p.462-469).

Le Père Libermann présente dans le Katholik la Congrégation du Saint-Esprit et du très Saint-Cœur de Marie Le Katolik est un journal d’Eglise fondé par les évêques de Strasbourg et de Spire, NNSS Raess et Weiss.pour toute l’Allemagne.

Le Vicariat apostolique de Mahajanga est amputé d'un territoire situé au nord, pour former la Préfecture apostolique d'Ambanja (ce nom lui sera donné le 14 juin 1938).
Não é necessário que os missionários da Guiné sejam, antes de tudo, os homens da Guiné; mas é preciso que sejam antes de tudo os homens de Deus e da Igreja; depois os membros da Congregação à qual Deus os deu, à qual estão ligados com todo o afecto da sua alma e nesta Congregação estão dedicados à salvação das almas da Guiné, enquanto aí estão pela vontade de Deus. Mas na Guiné como noutra arte, eles são membros do corpo ao qual Deus os ligou. (Libermann ao P. Boulan-ger,13.11.1850, ND XII, p.462-469).
1845 Alemanha
A 26 de Janeiro o P. Libermann apresenta no “Katholik” a Congregação do Espírito Santo e do Sagrado Coração de Maria para os Negros da África. O “Katholik” é um jornal da Igreja, fundado por Mgr Raess, bispo d Estrasburgo e Mgr Weis de Spire, NNSS Raess e Weiss para toda a Alemanha.

Carta do P. Libermann a Eliman, rei de Dacar, depois da morte de Mgr Truffet. Escreve-lhe : “o meu coração é dos africanos, todo dos africanos”.

O P. Libermann recebe os últimos sacramentos. O P. Le Vavasseur pede-lhe para se pronunciar sobre o seu sucessor à frente da Congregação.

O Vicariato Apostólico de Mahajanga é separado dum território situado ao norte, para formar a Prefeitura apostólica d’Ambanja (este nome ser-lhe-á dado a 14 de Junho de 1938 )
