Père François Becquet succeeds Père Bouïc after his long period as Superior General (1710-1763). He will lead the Congregation right up to the eve of the French Revolution (1788) and build the present chapel at rue Lhomond.

Fr. Becquet, 4° supérieur général, succède au long supériorat de M. Bouïc (1710-1763) ; il conduit la Congrégation et le Séminaire du St Esprit jusqu’à la veille de la Révolution Française (1788) ; c’est lui qui bâtit la chapelle actuelle de la ‘rue Lhomond’
