"Our Congregation is international and our apostolic activity usu-ally puts us in contact with a culture different to our own. Necessar-ily then, our formation prepares us both for living in a community and in a situation that is intercultural. It is therefore advisable that the Spiritan live for a period of his initial formation in community with confreres of a culture different to his own. During the period of initial formation, students shall learn one of the foreign languages used for communicating within the Congregation" (SRL 141).
Notre Congrégation est internationale et notre activité apostolique nous met habituellement en contact avec une culture différente de la nôtre. Il est donc nécessaire que la formation prépare à la vie en communauté et à la rencontre interculturelles. De ce fait, il est opportun que le Spiritain vive un temps de sa formation de base en communauté avec des confrères d'une culture différente de la sienne. Pendant la période de formation initiale les étudiants apprennent une langue étrangère utile à la communication dans la Congrégation. (RVS.SRL, n°141).
A nossa Congregação é internacional e, por isso, a nossa actividade apostólica põe-nos habitualmente em contacto com uma cultura diferente da nossa. É necessário, portanto, que a formação prepare para a vida em comunidade e encontro interculturais. Torna-se, por isso, conveniente que o espiritano viva parte da sua formação de base em comunidade com confrades de cultura diferente. Durante o período de formação inicial, os estudantes aprendem uma língua estrangeira, útil à comunicação na Congregação. (RVE, nº 141).
