Opening of the 7th General Chapter (22 July-9 August) with 49 capitulants. Mgr. Alexandre Le Roy is reelected as Superior General. The new Rules and Constitutions are approved, as well as a General Directory for the missions. The mandate of the Superior General is fixed at 12 years.
