The Spiritans return to the Congo. The first group consists of Père Callewaert (Belgium), Père Villetaz (Switzerland) and Pères Brangers and Viel (France). They start the mission at Kindu.

Os Padres do Espírito Santo voltam ao Congo. O primeiro grupo formado pelo P. Em. Callewaert (Belga), outrora no Baixo-Zaire e em Angola, o P. Villetaz (Suíça), e os PP. Brangers e Euloge Viel (Franceses), chegaram a KINDU a 30 de Julho a aí fundaram a missão. O P. Callewaert em pouco tempo construiu lá um mosteiro, uma escola, um hospital e uma igreja.
