West African Foundation
From the beginning, the Foundation is both English and French-speaking. At the noviciate in Bwiam in the Gambia, in 1980, there are 6 novices from Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal. Later, Senegal reverts to the Central African Foundation, so the WAF Superiors decide to make the Foundation anglophone at their meeting in 1982.
Fondation d’Afrique de l’Ouest
Depuis ses débuts, la Fondation utilise l’anglais et le français. Au noviciat de Bwiam en Gambie, il y a 6 novices venant des Ghana, Nigeria et Sénégal.
Fundação da África de Oeste
No princípio da Fundação, o Francês e o Inglês tornaram-se as suas línguas “nacionais” e “oficiais”:1980 Bwiam, seis noviços do Gana, Nigéria e Senegal. Dois anos mais tarde, em Janeiro de 1982, em Banjul, os Superiores da África de Oeste disseram “adeus” a esta experiência.
