The first session of the 13th General Chapter (Sept 9-Nov 15) opens in Rome with 109 capitulants. The Superior General, Mgr. Marcel Lefebvre, resigns and leaves the Chapter on September 11th. Père Joseph Lécuyer is elected the 19th Superior General on October 29th. The following year, a second session is necessary at Chevilly to complete the work of the Chapter (July-September).

Il quitte le Chapitre le 11 sept. Le 29 octobre, le P. Joseph Lécuyer est élu 19ème Supérieur général. Une 2ème session achèvera les travaux (Chevilly, juillet-septembre 1969).

De 9 de Setembro a 15 de Novembro, primeira Sessão do Capítulo Geral (extraordinário) em Roma com 109 capitulantes. No início do Capítulo Mgr Lefebvre tinha apresentado a sua demissão. Ele deixa o Capítulo a 11 de Setembro. A 29 de Outubro, o P. Joseph Lécuyer é eleito 19º Superior Geral. É necessária uma segunda sessão para acabar os trabalhos. (Chevilly, Julho-Setembro 1969).
