The Foundation has its first Director in March 1982; Fr Peter Newman (Irish Province) takes up the responsibility of Director from the Superiors of Senegal and the Gambia who have been entrusted with the special responsibility to care for the Foundation by the initial 1979 meeting. The first group of pro-fessed students moves to Isienu, Nigeria, for philoso-phy studies.
Fondation d’Afrique de l’Ouest
La fondation a son premier supérieur le P. Peter Newman . Il reçoit cette charge des supérieurs du Sénégal et de la Gambie qui l’avaient chargé de préparer cette fondation lors de leur rencontre de 1979. Le premier groupe de profès poursuit ses études au philosophat d’Isienu au Nigeria.
Fundação da África de Oeste
A Fundação teve o seu primeiro superior, o P. Peter Newman. Assumiu esta responsabilidade dos Superiores do Senegal e Gâmbia que tinham sido encarregados da responsabilidade de preparar esta Fundação por ocasião do encontro de 1979. O primeiro grupo de professos continua os estudos na casa de filosofia em Isienu, Nigéria.
