To wish to remain cramped up in the old days, and in the habits and spirit that ruled them, is to bring our efforts to nothing. So embrace the new order with openness and simplicity and bring the Gospel spirit to it, we will sanctify the world and the world will join us.

Vouloir se cramponner au vieux temps, et rester dans les habitudes et l’esprit qui régnait alors, c’est rendre nos efforts nuls. Embrassons donc avec franchise et simplicité l’ordre nouveau et apportons-y l’esprit de l’Évangile, nous sanctifierons le monde et le monde s’attachera à nous.

Querer agarrar-se aos velhos tempos, permanecer nos hábitos e no espírito que reinava outrora, é tornar nulos os nossos esforços. Abracemos então com franqueza e simplicidade a ordem nova, metamos nela o espírito do Evangelho, santificaremos o mundo e o mundo se unirá a nós.
