On this day, as a result of the anti-clerical legislation of the French Government, it is decided to set up a noviciate in England for the Irish candidates who had been studying in France. Prior Park thus becomes the first Spiritan house in Britain.

Por causa da legislação anti-clerical do Governo Francês, foi decidido estabelecer um Noviciado na Inglaterra para os candidatos irlandeses que até então iam para a França. “Prior Park” tornou-se deste modo a primeira casa espiritana na Inglaterra. A decisão de Mgr Le Roy e do Conselho Geral de abrir a casa foi tomada neste dia.
